Fondée en octobre 2010 par Rosario Caltabiano, 22,48 m² se veut un espace singulier d'exposition et un lieu de diffusion pour les œuvres contemporaines et la scène artistique émergente.
En collaboration avec des curateurs, critiques et artistes internationaux, 22,48 m² témoigne de la diversité du milieu de la création en inscrivant sa programmation sous le signe de la pluridisciplinarité : y ont lieu, en dehors du cycle expositionnel périodique, des performances, des projections, des tables rondes, des présentations d'ouvrages et des activités régulières d'ateliers pour enfants et familles dirigés par les artistes ou par des animateurs spécialisés, en collaboration avec le centre socio-culturel ARCHIPELIA.
22,48 m² privilégie également un travail spécifique et innovant concernant l'édition : les catalogues et ouvrages du 22,48 m² sont ainsi conçus et élaborés à la fois comme un lieu de réflexion autonome et en résonance avec des œuvres exposées.
Membre actif du réseau des galeries du "Grand Belleville", la galerie a déjà participé à SLICK ART FAIR Paris 2012, SLICK BRUXELLES 2013, Parcours VIP de la FIAC 2011, 2012, 2013, ART-O-RAMA (Marseille, aout 2013), NUIT BLANCHE (Paris, octobre 2013), YIA (Paris, octobre 2013).
22,48 m² veut être un espace d’ouverture, propice aux échanges et aux rapprochements entre l’art d’aujourd’hui et le public.

Created in October 2010 by Rosario Caltabiano, 22,48 m² strives to be a unique space of exhibition as well as a space of diffusion for contemporary works and the emerging artistic scene.
22,48 m² works hand in hand with curators, critics and international artists and is testament to the diversity of the creative milieu by rooting its programming into interdisciplinarity. Apart from the regular exhibition cycle, the gallery will host performances, screenings, roundtables and book presentations and a regular activity of children and family workshops led by artists or specialised group leaders, in collaboration with community centre ARCHIPELIA.
22,48 m² also gives priority to specific and innovating work regarding publishing: 22,48 m²’s catalogues and publications are developed and designed both as spaces for autonomous thinking and a resonance tool for the works exhibited.Active member of the “Grand Belleville” network of galleries, 22,48 m² has already participated in SLICK ART FAIR Paris 2012, SLICK ART FAIR Bruxelles, Parcours VIP of FIAC 2011, 2012, 2013, ART-O-RAMA (Marseille, 2013), NUIT BLANCHE (Paris, 2013), YIA (Paris, 2013).
