CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AROUND COURTOMER:

Paris is a 1, 5 train ride from L’Aigle, and 2,5 hour-drive from the Château, and you can organise a one-day visit, go to the Louvre museum, shop on the Champs Elysées, climb up the Eiffel Tower, etc.

You can go to the sea-side: Deauville, Trouville, Cabourg. Vvisit the D-day beaches, go for a pilgrimage to Lisieux, go to the Norman townd of Rouen, admire the famous Bayeux tapestry (http://www.tapisserie-bayeux.fr/index.php?id=1&=&L=1), spend a day at the exceptional Mont-Saint-Michel (http://www.ot-montsaintmichel.com/index.htm?lang=en).

SPORTS AND ADVENTURE AROUND COURTOMER:

Regarding the swimming pools, there is a great one 25km away from Courtomer called Cap'Orne: http://www.guide-piscine.fr/orne/piscine-le-cap-orne-a-l-aigle-435_P, where there are some of the biggest slides in Europe, as well as two swimming pools - indoor and outdoor - a bowling, a restaurant, jacuzzi, hamam and a sauna.
