Philippe has been a fly fishing guide for over 30 years. He is the former chief editor of Plaisirs de la Peche (the leading magazine on French fly fishing) and has extensive fly fishing travel experience. He has visited and fished in over 35 different countries, including New Zealand, the Caribbean, Argentina, the U.S., Canada, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Western Africa, Asia, etc. In the early 90's, he lived in California and worked there for a major fly fishing retail business. Since that time, he has returned to visit many times and has numerous friends and professional contacts in the U.S. His understanding of European fly fishing is tremendous, whether you're talking about trout, grayling, Atlantic salmon, pike, sea bass, carp, shad, etc. He is an IGFA representative for France, a member of Wild Trout Trust (UK) and active in local conservation organizations.
