The Civil Service Commission’s Office of Career Services staff provides job search and career planning services to the public and state employees, including career planning evaluations; résumé, cover letter, and interviewing tips; and online career interest assessment. They also attend career fairs and provide workshops to present employment information.
The State of Michigan Internship Program is also run by the Office of Career Services to assist college students in their preparation for career success. This is done by providing students the opportunity to explore and sample career opportunities, develop and strengthen transferable skills, interact and collaborate with industry experts, translate classroom knowledge into a working environment, build experience and network, and receive academic credit while making a difference in Michigan government.
