One of the most beautiful villages in south west France, Lagrasse, plays host to an international line-up of young pianists for the annual EN BLANC ET NOIR festival.
Founded in 2013 by the music journalist Robert Turnbull to provide opportunities to gifted young pianists embarking on solo careers, En Blanc et Noir takes place in the historic heart of Lagrasse, some 30 km south of Carcassonne, where the covered 12th century open-air marketplace provides a dramatic concert venue with fine acoustics. Listening to Mozart or Debussy, Brahms or Gershwin under the stars offers audiences a magical and completely unique experience.
