The force of Experience

Established since 1948, Copex was from the beginning specialized in the design and fabrication of hydraulic baling presses for the processing of demolition scrap materials.
The first scrap shear of 1000t was installed in 1975, followed by the first mobile scrap shear.

The scrap shears and baling presses became the core-products of Copex, we started developing new applications for our equipments in 1980.

To offer solutions for the increasing needs for treatment and conditioning on nuclear waste, we became a privileged partner for the actors of the nuclear industry. We adapted our standard machines to the specific requirements of the nuclear sector. Many Copex machines are being operated in AREVA, ANDRA, CERN or EURODIF.
In 1990, we became the first one to install baling presses for the compacting of household waste.

We now offers diversified products such as baling presses for metal packaging and more recently big capacity waste compacting stations for the multimodal transfer of household waste.

Today COPEX is one of the leading suppliers in the market for recycling equipments for the processing of all types of solid waste.

Innovation and attention towards the actors of the recycling sector

The increasing investment in research and development and a permanent attention towards the professionals of the recycling industries have always been the key for the further development of our machines performance, robustness, flexibility, easy operation, operational and maintenance safety, reduced running costs, compliance with the requirements for environment.

Copex has engaged in development of innovative solutions:

• in 1996, COPEX started the most powerful scrap shear in Europe with 2200 t cutting force
• in 2005, we launched a new generation of scrap shear with wings
• in 2007 Copex imagined a new generation of hydraulics which is on all our ranges
• in 2011 we started the new scrap shear with side compression name LIDEX. The machine is still today the first machine of his category in the world which offers a complete automatic cycle including compression and cutting phases.
• In 2013 Copex is launching a new generation of mobile scrap shears: REFLEX
